BECSys7

Chemistry control plus automatic filter backwash for the largest mechanical rooms

← Back to all productsAvailable through FreyTechFacts verified against manufacturer literature 2026-09-15.

Overview

BECSys7 extends the BECSys5 platform for large mechanical rooms. Its distinguishing capability is automatic filter backwash for up to 16 filters, alongside five standard mechanical relays and interfaces for UV and heaters. It suits aquatic centers and natatoriums where filtration sequencing belongs in the same controller as chemistry.

Is this a fit for your facility?

Usually a fit when

  • Aquatic centers with multiple filters that should backwash automatically
  • New construction where one controller should run chemistry and filtration sequencing

Look elsewhere when

  • Facilities that only need chemistry control and monitoring (BECSys5 is the better fit)

Ideal facilities and conditions: Large natatoriums and aquatic centers; Waterparks with multiple filter banks.

Problems it addresses

Key capabilities and benefits

Capabilities

  • Automatic filter backwash for up to 16 filters (optional)
  • Five standard mechanical relay outputs
  • UV and heater interfaces
  • BECSys5 chemistry, logging, alarms, and BECSys Live

Operational and buyer benefits

  • Filtration and chemistry sequenced from one documented system
  • Fewer manual backwash routines in large rooms
  • Same remote visibility and records as BECSys5

Installation requirements and retrofit considerations

Prerequisites

  • Filter valves and actuators compatible with automatic backwash sequencing
  • Engineer-led design of the backwash sequence
  • Network, power, and sample loop as for BECSys5

Retrofit and replacement notes

  • Usually part of a filtration or mechanical-room renovation rather than a controller-only replacement

Integration with other equipment

  • Filter valve actuatorsSequenced backwash per engineer's design.
    Manufacturer-documented
  • UV and heatersInterfaces per BECS literature.

Often specified with

  • Pulsar PrecisionPatented high-capacity erosion feeder for calcium hypochlorite briquettes; manufacturer-rated for 500,000 to 1,000,000+ gallon pools; up to 189 lb/day available chlorine.
    Documented pairing
  • Defender Regenerative Media FilterPerlite regenerative media pressure filter from Neptune Benson (Xylem), NSF/ANSI 50 listed on all models; FreyTech installed Defenders at Ithaca College's 50-meter pool and Fairport High School.
    Commonly considered together

“Commonly considered together” means the pairing is typical in practice; technical compatibility is confirmed for each project.
